Privacy, made in Germany.

Adsquare is headquartered in Berlin — the heart of the world’s strictest privacy jurisdiction. So privacy is inherent in how we treat data and build products. Our approach is built on the GDPR foundation of “Privacy by Design.”

Ten Principles. Zero Compromise.

Adsquare sets the benchmark for integrity in the adtech space. We live and breathe data. We treat it with respect. We believe that in order for advertising to work properly, it needs accurate, actionable data.

But it also requires trust. As a provider of real-world intelligence, we deliver actionable insights from aggregated and pseudonymized data. We are an intelligence layer, not a marketplace or a raw data supplier.

  1. Privacy-First Product Development

Privacy is the blueprint of our innovation, not an afterthought. Our development lifecycle integrates data protection at the architectural level, requiring close collaboration between our Product, Engineering, and Legal teams from the earliest ideation stages. This means every product feature is vetted for data protection before a single line of code is written.

  2. Consent First

Adsquare prioritizes a consent-based model to ensure high-quality, compliant data. We do not rely on “legitimate interest” for advertising purposes or profiling, and we advocate for explicit opt-in signals across all our markets.

  3. Regular Supplier Audits

Adsquare enforces strict data provider requirements. We actively audit our partners’ practices to ensure they meet GDPR and global regulatory standards. If a provider cannot prove the lawful origin of their data, they are excluded from our ecosystem.

  4. No Sharing of Precise Geolocation Data

Precise geolocation data (lat/long) is never shared or sold to our clients or Platform Partners. Instead, this data is converted into pseudonymous and aggregated segments for Audience Targeting and Measurement or used for anonymous statistical analyses to provide Insights or Attribution Reports, ensuring individual movements remain private.

  5. No use of PII

Our platform functions without ever knowing “who” you are. We do not process names, email addresses, or phone numbers. Our systems operate solely on Mobile Advertising IDs (MAIDs) — pseudonymous strings that can be reset or deleted by the user at any time. Whether it’s MAIDs today or privacy-safe cohorts tomorrow, our system is built to identify patterns, not people.

  6. Sensitive Location Filter

Adsquare automatically filters and blocks datasets linked to sensitive locations such as hospitals, schools, and places of worship. This prevents the inference of sensitive personal attributes and ensures our insights are used ethically and legally.

  7. Data Minimization and Retention

Following strict GDPR principles, we only process the data points strictly necessary for a specific product or application. We implement automated deletion routines where data is typically removed after 90 days — for some applications after a maximum of 365 days — ensuring we never hold information longer than its intended purpose.

  8. Access Governance and Security

We follow a “Least Privilege” approach, meaning access to data is restricted based on specific roles and secured via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Through fine-grained authorization and clear data lineage, we ensure that only authorized personnel interact with data under strict supervision.

  9. Transparency and Documentation

Adsquare maintains an open Privacy Glossary and a comprehensive Privacy Centre that is easily accessible to all consumers. We believe in being transparent about our data flows, providing clear documentation so that partners and citizens alike understand how our intelligence layer operates.

  10. Fairness and Bias Mitigation

When utilizing AI and machine learning, we actively work to identify and mitigate algorithmic biases. We ensure that the datasets used for training are diverse and representative, preventing discriminatory outcomes and ensuring that our data-driven insights remain fair and objective.
